Department Summary
At CHA, our food service department plays an important role in the satisfaction of our patients and colleagues. Our Food Service team members enhance the patient stay by delivering three quality meals per day to patients’ bedside. Our Expressly for You program assigns each patient a dedicated Food Service member to take care of their dining needs. Our Team members promote meal assistance to all patients daily (including meal selection, service, and retrieval). Team members serve food and beverages to patients in accordance with the patient’s diet prescription. Team members verbally communicate our patients’ concerns with the clinical dietitian.
Summary
Performs a wide range of administrative and support functions for the department, including but not limited to utility aide, and receptionist.
Acts as the link between various CHA departments, outside service agencies, and consulting providers.
Fluency in personal computer systems in the Windows environment and a working knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office applications such as advanced word processing spreadsheets, databases, flowcharts, graphics, writing, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School/GED required. Associates Degree Preferred
Work experience: 3 years in an office/administrative role; healthcare experience preferred
Experience with computer applications such as advanced word processing, spreadsheets, databases, flowcharts, and graphics preferred (Microsoft Office and Google apps)
