The HIM Operations and Project Specialist assist in maintaining the integrity of the enterprise EHR and validate the integrity of data to meet a standard of quality. The incumbent will perform ongoing task tasks including medical record review, quality reviews and (MD) delinquent record suspension protocol. They will act as a liaison between the Health Information Management Director and other departments/ Services for hospital and clinic locations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred. High school diploma and other course work in HIM courses required. Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)
Two to five years of experience as a technical specialist or supervisor in a Medical Record or Health Information Management Department preferred.
Must have experience in hospital information systems (health information Management/medical record applications).
Must have working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.
Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Successful project planning experience preferred.
Medical record content review and JCAHO survey experience strongly preferred.
Experience with excel and google sheets preferred.
