Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) is a community hospital that cares for a highly diverse population in the Boston metro-north region. As a member of our Medical Specialty team, you will help us care for patients in Cardiology, Dermatology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Geriatrics, Hematology/Oncology, Infectious Disease, Neurology, and Pulmonary Medicine. This includes consults and procedures at our two acute care hospitals and ambulatory care at our three medical specialty clinics.


Administrative responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Handling all calls appropriately and courteously. Registering patients and scheduling appointments via Epic. Verifying insurance eligibility. Maintain and support both paper and electronic medical records. Collecting, processing, and reconciling co-pays to be deposited. Provide financial support by processing charges, reconciling daily receipts as well as identifying and correcting errors in billing. Assist the direct patient care providers with electronic and paper correspondence; sorting and prioritizing incoming and outgoing mail for each provider. Participate on a planned care team. Attends departmental meetings. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements: High School Diploma or GED is required. Minimum of one year experience working in an outpatient medical setting preferred. Ability to write and verbally communicate in English required. Ability to speak a second language preferred. Must possess excellent customer service skills and attention to detail.
