You will help deliver care across the entire spectrum of primary care – with internal medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics and women’s health services. You will be in a team-based setting, where primary care works hand-in-hand with behavioral health, pharmacy, complex care and multilingual interpreter services. CHA is also a teaching hospital, with several primary care centers hosting CHA’s Harvard Internal Medicine residency and Tufts Family Medicine residency.

Summary:
Provides Windsor Care Center and East Cambridge Care Center with daily administrative support for delivery of service in accordance with established standards of care for a primary care practice. Serves as the day to day manager, dealing with patient flow issues, staff and provider scheduling and support and issues arising from daily practice. Oversees the provider schedules, telephone and registration systems and supervises staff to ensure optimal access for patients and financial sustainability for the Alliance.  Responsible to encourage innovation and initiate and lead quality improvement projects; accountable for compliance with budget and financial performance goals for the site and for ensuring the maintenance of an attractive and functional health care facility.

Responsibilities:
  Oversee daily site operations including systems for appointment scheduling, registration and telephone coverage.
• Ensures optimal access for patients through effective management of provider templates and patient booking. Initiates advanced access standards and continually monitors for effectiveness.
• Provides local facility management leadership. Collaborates effectively with all departments providing services or performing Alliance-related activities at the site to ensure smooth and efficient site operations. Ensures the effective use of material and personnel resources for the delivery of services at the site.
• Collaborates with Alliance service lines to ensure the effective delivery of support services, including facilities management, telecommunications, HIS, medical and non-medical supply delivery, medical records management.
• Responsible for site-based communication systems including visual communications tools and staff meeting agenda.
• Establishes staff schedules and monitors adherence; manages TAA through approval of time sheets.
• Supports and participates in developing leadership roles among the staff of the health center, identifies and recruits candidates for staff positions. Collaborates in the hiring of staff.
• Supervises support staff, completes performance evaluations for support staff and collaborates in all non-clinical staff evaluations and supervision. Provides oversight to all non-clinical staff at site, including those not directly reporting to PC such as financial coordinators and interpreters. Ensures that all have appropriate computer and site access.
• Participates in performance improvement projects and pilots.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred, equivalent experience accepted.
Work Experience: Five years of management experience in Ambulatory Care operations with demonstrated experience in managing diverse, multi-lingual, multicultural staff and demonstrated Systems Improvement experience. Bilingual Spanish/Portuguese/Haitian Creole preferred.
