DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

The Environmental Services staff provide the most thorough and efficient cleaning services across the Alliance.


Summary:
Under the supervision of the manager perform various duties to clean/sanitize and supply patient rooms wards, nursing stations, lounges, lavatories, bathrooms, offices and other related functions as assigned by the housekeeping manager.
The essential job functions are focused on customers satisfaction, human relations innovation and service excellence in accordance with the hospital and department mission statement ,policies, procedures and standards


Responsibilities:
• Provide a clean, sanitary comfortable, orderly and satisfying surrounding for the patients, employees and visitors
• Clean beds as applicable
• Dry mop and wash floors
• High and low dusting
• Clean restrooms
• Clean glass
• Wash walls
• Pickup spills
• Deliver and distribute clean and dirty laundry
• Expected to remove trash from all areas and
• Vacuum, strip and wax floors, shampoo rugs and burnish floors
• Assist in cleaning of emergency spills when observed or upon request.
• Maintain assigned equipment for cleanliness and recommend repairs as needed.
• Observe and report the general need for repairs to equipment, furniture building or fixtures.
• Other duties as assigned
