Summary:

Exciting opportunity to provide new models of care for walk-in/urgent care access including days, evenings and weekends. The new CHA CBHC Malden program provides behavioral health evaluation and initial treatment services for individuals of all ages. 

Under the general supervision of the CBHC urgent care/walk-in service and CBHC clinical staff, provides clinically-based peer Recovery Support Services to:

Support patient engagement into Recovery Support and addiction treatment

Collaborate with other members of the care team to identify needs and resources with the patient, family and health care team, create a treatment plan appropriate to the patient’s needs and resources.

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ sobriety and 5-10 years’ experience in peer recovery support work
  • Experience working with relevant community groups preferred. Demonstrated experience working in multicultural and multidisciplinary settings required.
  • Experience working as a Recovery Coach in a hospital/Emergency Department setting
  • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree desirable

Certification:

  • Current Addiction Recovery Coach certification in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts preferred; certification required within one year of employment
  • Bicultural and/or bilingual in the specific cultural/language group of the population/community served in a particular job.
